Alice Clark
Alice has been a provider of user-centered design solutions to companies
since 1997. She has had a hands-on role in almost every aspect of
web and media development, from interaction design and front-end
programming to creative direction and project management. Her background
in sociology and fine art led her to the field of human-computer
interaction design, where she found she could have a fundamental
and rewarding impact making technology more useful and engaging
to people. Alice began her design career in Canada, producing various
web applications and educational CD-ROM games. Prior to founding ropeSwing, Alice played a vital role at MONKEYmedia as interface design manager. During her three years with MONKEYmedia, Alice managed UI design projects and partnerships, played a lead role in design and production, and helped shape the culture and heart of the company. Alice has spoken at various industry
conferences including CHI and SXSW Interactive, and her interactive
art has been exhibited in Canada and the United States.
Marc Lenburg, PhD
Since 1993, Marc has guided numerous clients in the design and development
of their online and print communications. His expertise in interaction
design, visual design, and production has proved indispensable to
a wide array of clients, from large corporations and institutions
to small non-profits and individuals. Marc's enthusiasm for ropeSwing
comes from a deeply held belief that our experience of the world
is shaped in part by our interactions with the objects that surround
us, and that designers have both a responsibility and the potential
to make the world a better place through humane design. Before founding
ropeSwing, Marc was an interface designer and key problem solver
at MONKEYmedia and a lead designer with the Terraformer Design Collective.
Donald McCaskill
Donald has created innovative and elegant interface design solutions since 1998 by redefining human-computer interaction as a communication medium. Donald's passion for design comes from an intrinsic belief that effective communication enriches every aspect of life. By creating an architecture that is able to support a consistant message through interface design, Donald is able to deliver a rich interaction that
informs and inspires the audience. As a lead interface designer at MONKEYmedia, Donald was responsible for directing the team's efforts to produce comprehensive design solutions, as well as present completed work to the client. As a founder of ropeSwing Donald continues to create engaging design solutions to meet the needs of a diverse audience.
Paulus W. Trisnadi
Paulus is an award-winning designer and innovator. Since 1993, Paulus
has been passionate about the potential impact that simple, elegant,
user-centered design can have on the world. Having designed books
and corporate identities for a variety of clients, he soon became
enchanted with the possibilities of human-computer interaction and
interface design. Before founding ropeSwing, Paulus was the first key interface and interaction designer hired at MONKEYmedia. A master of Macromedia Flash,
he helped the MONKEYmedia team win eight prestigious industry awards
for the company's self-promotional website. Paulus is named as an
inventor on several US patents for cutting-edge interface and interaction
design. As an artist and designer, he has worked on a range of local
and international art and design projects with artists, graphic
designers, choreographers, wood and glass specialists, and poets.
