This project
was a partnership between MONKEYmedia and marchFIRST. Our job was to suggest
improvements in the information architecture of the site to help customers
find the right product. Our strategy included creating unified landing/results
pages with consistent display and interaction methodologies. We aimed to
give the customer better control of their product display through simplified
sorting and filtering rules. We also suggested adding dynamic handles into
the product inventory to allow for customer created "virtual departments"
that reflect each customer's unique point of view. In order to increase
sales channels, we came up with interactive gift and occasion wizards which
would foster a more emotionally engaged shopping experience. Our designs
were meant to invite the customer to feel more comfortable by revealing
product co-location and complimentary items based on buying trends.
